Glasgow Piano City . . . is an initiative to encourage and facilitate renewed appreciation of acoustic pianos, in Glasgow and beyond. We are a community group, not a business or a charity, aiming to cut through some of life's red tape ~ to bring more music, fun and pianos to our city streets, parks & public spaces. 

We will present the Streetpianos of Play Me, I'm Yours during the 2014 Commonwealth Games celebrations in Glasgow in July.

We are very happy to announce an award of £10,000 from the National Lottery funded Celebrate Program. This is great news and we still need your support to help make our plans happen ! 

We aim to make a Lids Open Day a regular event all year round, all over Glasgow and far & wide ~ throughout Scotland.

Govanhill Baths, the Glasgow School of Art, Riverside Museum, Kelvingrove Art Gallery, the Burrell Collection,  An Clachan Cafe, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Scotland Street School Museum, the Mitchell Library, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Gal Gael, Yorkhill Childrens Hospital, the Gallery of Modern Art and the ' Music ' room, Glasgow Green Site for Festival 2014 celebrations.

There will be Pop-up pianos during the Games & a special one off event on Monday 28th July with pianos in George Square.
